Hair Transplants

Hair Transplant

A hair transplant is a surgical procedure where hair follicles are moved from a part of the body with thick hair (usually the back or sides of the scalp) to a balding or thinning area. There are two main techniques: Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) and Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE). FUT involves removing a strip of skin with hair and transplanting it, while FUE extracts individual hair follicles and implants them. Hair transplants are typically done under local anesthesia and can take several hours depending on the size of the area.
