Breast Augmentation

Breaast Augmentation

Breast enhancement, or breast augmentation, is a cosmetic surgery to increase the size or improve the shape of the breasts. This is usually done by placing implants (silicone or saline) under the breast tissue or chest muscles. The surgery is popular for women who want fuller breasts, better symmetry, or to restore volume after weight loss or pregnancy.

How it works:

1. Consultation: The patient meets with a plastic surgeon to discuss goals and decide on the type of implants.

2. Surgery: The procedure takes 1-2 hours, performed under general anesthesia. The surgeon makes incisions in discreet areas (like under the breast, around the nipple, or in the armpit).

3. Placement: Implants are placed either under the breast tissue or beneath the chest muscle.

4. Recovery: Most patients can return to normal activities after a week or two, but full healing can take a few months.
